It's been a while....
It has been a while since I've posted something on the blog. We have all been so busy!!!!!
Quick updates on all of us......
Patrick: Pat is loving 1st grade and has A's and B's in everything. He had all of the boys from his class over for his birthday and had an awesome time (pictures to come soon). I cannot believe that he is seven years old.
Jillian: Jill is having the time of her life in kindergarten. She must have her mother's brains because school comes easy to her. I am shocked at her motivation to do homework. She comes home every day and insists on doing all of her homework right away. She is getting ready for spring soccer and is excited that I (Todd) am her coach.
Matthew: Things were tough for a while with Matthew but he has really adjusted well and has no problems at school. He is reading very well and is successful at school. Matthew, like Jillian, is getting fired up for spring soccer. Because he and Patrick have been coming to my wrestling practices at the high school, Matthew is considering joining a wrestling club.
Amber: Amber has taken on more responsibility at work. She is still the Pharmacy Manager at the Wheatfield store but she is also the Assistant to the Director of Pharmacy. She has done scheduling for the entire company, training for all of the Fagen stores, is the head of the overstock program, gives flu shots, and is now licensed in Illinois.
Todd: I am still coaching... but football is a thing of the past (for now anyway). I am the Head Varsity coach for both soccer and wrestling and I also coach the middle school wrestling team. I have been teaching at Hebron for 3 years now and plan to stay there until I retire.
Again, I'm sorry that it took me a while to post something new. I have to arrange some pictures and then I'll post them.
Love to all,
Todd

Adoption Domestication and Official Name Change
What a nerve-racking day!!! We had Matthew's adoption domesticated which means that his adoption in Guatemala is officially recognized in the state of Indiana. We also had his name officially changed to Matthew Marlon Antonio Adamczyk......whew, what a day!!
We had to appear in court, take turns on the witness stand, and answer questions. We went there with the belief that it would be an administrative thing and, WOW, were we wrong!!!!! I don't recall ever being more intimidated, not ever. I show up wearing shorts, my shirt was not tucked in, and I was wearing leather sandals. I looked like I was going to a Jimmy Buffett concert. Our attorney even apologized to the judge for my appearance.
Now.....we just have to wait for his new birth certificate and then we can get his social security card and his citizenship papers with his new and correct name. Although, I don't believe we need to worry about the citizenship papers since he will have an Indiana birth certificate....I hope.
Love,
Todd
